We are Sailing Home!

After visiting Rome and then enjoying the 2019 Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip Cruise to the Greek Isles, we are sailing back to Rome and will be heading home to Ohio tomorrow. What an adventure this trip was! I'm grateful Andrea and I could spend a couple extra days vacationing as Andrea had never been to Rome. I'm grateful to Stampin' Up! for the many opportunities I am given to work hard at doing what I love, to earn free products, to meet new people and build countless friendships, and to earn such wonderful trips. I am very grateful to my stamping family, customers and team members alike, who encourage and motivate me everyday to keep learning and growing and supporting me on my Stampin' Up! journey and life's ventures. I could not accomplish all of this without you. Special thanks to my daughters Andrea and Emily whose own drive and determination and love of life drive me to be the best me I can be...which includes living in the moment while going after my dreams.

As Andrea and I sail the big sea and then fly home, I hope you are inspired to create and share with another card I created. The Sailing Home Suite is so very popular. It makes great cards for everyone who loves life on the water and it's great for making masculine cards too.

The card reminds me of the many sailboats I see on the Hoover Reservoir in the Westerville suburb of Columbus, Ohio, where I live.

I hope you'll use and enjoy this downloadable PDF to create fun sailing cards!

I'm thrilled to be able to feature the Above the Clouds Bundle in today's post. I'm sharing a swap card I received from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Linda Cullen. What a wonderful summer feel it has. This card would be great for a new graduate or anyone starting a new job, promotion, retirement, or any new phase of life. I love that Stampin' Up! provides us with versatile stamp sets that we can use for so many different reasons and occasions.

Here is a downloadable PDF I made so you can recreate or CASE (Copy And Share Everything) this card.

Floral Essence Friendly Thoughts Card

Where would I be without my family and friends? I don't want to even think about that. My relationships with my family and friends helped me to be the person I am today. Without any of them, my story would be different. Some of these people are family that became friends too, and some are friends that became family. I'm grateful for all of them, including my Stampin' Up! family and my stamping friends.

My card today celebrates friendships by giving you a #simplestamping card you can make in Calypso Coral as I did or in your favorite Stampin' Up! colors. I'm posting a project sheet to help you do just that.

Enjoy Today!

The older I get, the more I understand what "living in the moment" really means. I want to truly be present in all of life's moments, big and small. I want to stop and smell the roses! I want to just sit and listen to a friend. I want to enjoy the ride on this journey called life. There are so many people that have helped me want to truly live this way. I always thought I was, but now realize it's so easy to forget to take time to just enjoy the day. So today, I'm choosing to find joy and gratitude in all things that are happening and in all the people I come across today. I hope you too will find ways to enjoy today, no matter where you are or who you are with or what you are doing.

I received this swap card from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Jennifer Merle-Hamscher. What a terrific card layout using layers of 3" x 4" Designer Series Paper and 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" card stock.

Whitewashing Technique with To A Wild Rose

One of the many benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is learning and sharing new stamping techniques. The White Washing Technique may not be new to everyone, but it is fairly new to me. My June 25th Facebook Live on my Stamp 'n Scrap with Mary Knabe Business Page was a great opportunity to share this technique with followers. I'm including the video on today's blog post so I can share it with even more stamping enthusiasts. Whether you are an avid crafter or brand new to stamping and paper crafting, you can be successful using the White Washing Technique with my easy to follow demonstration in the video below.

I featured the new and very beautiful To A Wild Rose Stamp Set. This set was designed in part by Mary Ellen Byler as one of her rewards for achieving $1 Million Dollar Career Sales as a SU! Demonstrator. How awesome is that to be able to help design a stamp set that will be sold world wide? Congratulations, Mary Ellen, and thank you for inspiring me with your stamp set. I should also mention that Mary Ellen designed this set in honor of her grandmother. She must be one special grandma, don't you think?

Relax your way!

So often I hear people say they have a hard time making masculine cards. I received the following card featuring A Good Man Stamp Set from my Stampin' Up! demonstrator friend Jamie Albanese. Isn't it great? Such a simple card to give to that special man who deserves to be celebrated!

I don't yet own this stamp set, but like it so much I wanted to share Jamie's card with all of you. You can download a free PDF Project Sheet to help you recreate it yourself. I should also point out that the striped paper is from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper.

Magnolia Lane Gift

What's better than doing what you love? Doing what you love with friends who love what they do. I'm so grateful to the many friends I have made in my nearly 11 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. A few weeks ago, I spent a weekend crafting with a few of these people. It was a great weekend to work on my stamping projects, talk and share and laugh with good friends, and to celebrate doing what we love!

Here is a little gift I made for each of my friends. The gift is small and the project simple, but my heart is full of friendship and gratitude for the people who received them. I used a 4" x 4" piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper behind the glass. I stamped the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set, colored it with Stampin' Blends, and cut it out with the Magnolia Memory Die. The sentiment is from the Fable Friends Stamp Set. You can find all of these products in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. If you are not currently working with a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I'd love to earn your business. I'd be happy to mail you a new catalog. Simply email me your full name and address.

Learning, Growing, Sharing Friendship & Creativity

What a wonderful couple days I had this weekend. It started waking up on Friday morning to blue skies and bright sunshine, something we haven't seen much of in Ohio this spring. Such a beautiful way to welcome in summer. Saturday was just as beautiful, today, Sunday is our third straight day of sunshine and blue skies!

This weekend was also made wonderful with the visit of my friends Susi Brunk and Sherrie Parker, my Stampin' Up! upline and second upline. We shared dinner, wine, friendship, and laughs. They spent the night at my house Friday, then we all attended the Stampin' Up! Ohio Leadership and Business Gathering on Saturday hosted by Jessica Werner, Demonstrator Development Manager of USA Northeast Area and Cori Hancock of Stampin' Up! who oversees all of the DDM's in the East Region. How wonderful it is that they were able to bring together so many Ohio demonstrators. O-H-I-O!

Highlights of the event included leadership activities and business demonstrations by several fabulous Ohio demonstrators on topics such as increasing sales, finding new customers, building and growing a team, increasing retention of team members, and using social media in our businesses. I'm grateful for the many informative and motivating presentations, and am spending some time today working on plans to implement some of these new practices. Of course, the best part of any Stampin' Up! event is reuniting with demonstrators I don't see too often and meeting new people in my Stampin' Up! family. Making connections, building relationships, and learning and growing together is such a big part of what I enjoy as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
