You are going to love my Tri-Fold Gift Card Holder. It's so easy to make and will leave the recipient saying, "You shouldn't have, but I'm glad you did". In my FB Live video replay below, I've used the Country Club Designer Series Paper and Clubhouse Bundle in demonstrating how to make my Tri-fold Gift Card Holder. And what perfect time for making and giving these. Dads, grads, and teachers will love them. Or use them for birthdays and congratulations or just because you want to surprise someone with something fun.
The color combination on this Tri-fold gift card holder with the argyle DSP showcased is a take on black, white, and a splash of color.
Card base is 5 1/2" x 12", score at 4" from both ends, z-fold card base.
Card stock layers (3) are 5 1/4" x 3 3/4".
DSP for front is 5" x 3 1/2".
Gift card pocket is 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".
Make the focal image on front whatever size is necessary for your stamped image, etc.
The Country Club Suite isn't just for the male golfers in your life. I love the Blushing Bride card stock with the gray argyle pattern of this DSP.
This card has gone "preppy" with the argyle pattern and pink and green combo! Were you a high schooler during the preppy phase?
Please note that all products in the Country Club Suite are retiring. They are only available through June 2nd while supplies last.

If you're like many people, color combinations can be difficult. This is one of the biggest stumbling blocks I see in many stampers and crafts. It sure was me for a looooong time. A Color Coach is a very useful tool, and I'm grateful that Stampin' Up! has a downloadable PDF Color Coach available to demonstrators to share with our customers and viewers. It contains 3 different color combinations for each of our core colors and for each of our current In Colors as well.
In the following FB Live video replay, I show you how to cut and assemble your Stampin' Up! Color Coach once you've printed the PDF's. I also demonstrate how I use mine in designing cards, etc. This wonderful resource opens up a whole new world of color combinations for you to do your best creating.
There are 2 parts to the SU! Color Coach, thus 2 PDF's. The first is for all our current Core Colors including all the Brights, Neutrals, Regals, and Subtles. The second PDF is for the 2019-2021 In Colors and the 2020-2022 In Colors.

I'm also sharing a few pictures of card making on Stampin' Up!'s May 21st Day of Service in my Stampin' Peace Studio. We had a great time and now have lots of cards to give and send as we do our part to #sharesunshine during this pandemic. Thanks, my daughter Andrea, nieces Alison and Avery Benner, and my sister Joan Benner for participating in SU!'s Day of Service with me! You are SU! Difference Makers!
Joan learned how to color on stamps with Stampin' Write Markers when wanting to have more than one ink color on one stamped image. She was quite impressed with herself and excited about how her palm trees turned out.
Be a Difference Maker. Make a card. Send a card. You'll be sharing sunshine and happiness!
Using layers of various sizes and quantities can greatly extend the level of your creativity and card making. Layering on cards can be a bit tricky, though, if you don't have accurate measurements. In this Facebook Live Replay, I show you the Card Layering Reference Tools I created for myself to help me in my card making. My layering references assist me in cutting several different card layers with uniformity, mixing and matching various size layers for new and creative lay outs, and for sizing layers for stamping images and sentiments. I hope you find this video demonstration helpful in your card making and in extending your creative possibilities through the use of layering. Please note that I am using Imperial Measurements (inches) for A2 size cards which are the standard for the USA and Canada.
Learning new techniques is always fun. Here's one I learned recently from my friend and member of my Merry Stampers Team, Rita Holmes. Rita is the Queen of stamping techniques. I'm so happy she started sharing them via her Facebook Lives. I LOVE this technique - it's fun, easy, and gives unique results every time! In the following Facebook Live video replay, I'll show you how easy it is to do this technique as well as a variety of cards I made with it. Just you wait. You are going to love this technique too!
Nothing light beautiful colors and a simple "hello friend" to spread happiness!
I added a touch of bling with Glitter Enamel Dots to the flower centers above and the card below.
From Rooted in Nature Stamp Set - Be strong. Be happy. Be you.
I just had to put this strip of color to use on a card. It was too pretty to throw away.
Same re-inker technique, different color scheme.

Stampin' Up! Punches are awesome. They work easily, give clean cuts, are easy to store with their locking mechanism, and allow for lots of versatility in creating paper crafts. We have a few new punches added to our collection in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog coming on June 3rd. As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I was able to pre-order the new Lovely Label Pick A Punch. I love it. It's like having 6 punches in 1. There are 2 options of decorative ends to choose from. Each decorative end punches 3 widths of paper strips - 1/2", 3/4", and 1". And any length of card stock or Designer Series Paper can be punched. I can think of so many uses for this punch, from labels for stamped sentiments to "belly bands" to handles on 3-D treat favors, to accents on scrapbook pages. My Lovely Label Pick A Punch has already become one of my most favorite punches ever. I do believe it will become one of my "go to" punches. I have no doubt that I will use it lots and often that it will pay for itself in no time at all.
In addition, the Lovely Label Pick A Punch has a coordinating stamp set, Lovely You. Both of these products along with the 2020-2022 In Color products you see in the video will be available to order June 3rd. Please note that when you purchase the Lovely Label Stamp Set & Lovely Label Pick A Punch, you can save 10% on both products when you use the Lovely You Bundle item number to order.
Look for a June Class to Go featuring the Lovely You Bundle!
For now, I hope you enjoy my Facebook Live video replay of my Lovely Label Pick A Punch plus a sneak peek at some wonderful new Stampin' Up! products to look forward to.
I never get tired of the Balloon Bouquet Punch, and what a great way to show off our newest colors!

Here is this week's card sketch that inspired my Make It with Mary Monday Facebook Live in my Stampin' Peace VIP Group. It's an easy layout with endless possibilities for variations, AND you it's a great way to use some of those scraps you have!
I created a couple samples using this week's card sketch and showcased the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.
Putting the pattern on the left side rather than across creates a fun alternative card layout.
Here is another example of a card created with today's card sketch as well as another card with a twist on that card sketch. The Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon is a lovely add on to the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. It coordinates well with the color combination and also softens the look of the card with all its square and angles.
This card has a fancy inside - fancy but easy to stamp & color.

I invite you to craft along with me in my next Make It with Mary Monday Facebook Live on May 25th. By 8am EST that day in my Stampin' Peace VIP Facebook Group, I will post card stock and Designer Series Paper dimensions and a short list of supplies. Gathering your things, then tune in to my Facebook Live at 11am EST to make a card using I card sketch I show. Then afterwards, post the card you made in the comments below the FB Live post. It's a lot of fun and you get a new card sketch to try out each week.
Yes, things are looking up! As we've all been dealing with this year's pandemic, remote learning, changes in the way we do business, I have found that in all of these challenges there have been many blessings. Families spending more quality time together, people reaching out to others when they may not have taken the time to do so before, people cooking and baking at home, neighbors helping neighbors with grocery shopping and sharing of hard to find goods, and in every situation creativity is at the heart of what we've been doing. We've found new, creative, and innovative ways to do business, to educate children and adults, to shop for what we need with less concern for material wants, to entertain and be entertained, to stay connected while keeping our distance, and to show appreciation for essential workers. Creativity at its best and all of this is cause for things "looking up". I'm not sure I want life to return to "normal" as we knew it. I like the slower pace and not running around crazy busy. I like sending more happy mail. I like taking the time to nurture me with home projects and self care. Working at home full time without going out for breaks or dinners out, means I'm truly scheduling lunch and dinner breaks for myself without feeling like I have to work straight through my day. I'm even enjoying cooking for myself a bit more. And if you know me, I really don't like to cook all that much. Now, baking, I love that...because I love sweets, of course. So yes, things are looking up. Our businesses, our economy, our schools will all rebound in time while we focus on being strong, being positive, being patient, and being creative in our everyday lives no matter how they look.
The Looking Up All Inclusive Card Kit seems to have taken on more meaning for me with all that has taken place in 2020. It's not just about cards anymore. It's about how I go about making cards, using the cards I make, and how I use them to interact and stay connected to the people I know and love and appreciate as well as those I may not know. I think it was just meant to be that this Stampin' Up! kit is staying with us another year to remind us to "keep looking up" no matter what life gives us. I'll look forward to more creating with this kit as well as the new kits we'll soon have the opportunity to create with.
Here's a look at a few alternate cards I created with a watercolor wash. I've also included a video replay of a Facebook Live I did in April showcasing Stampin' Up!'s 4 All Inclusive Card Kits at the time with helpful tips and how to's as well as several alternate projects. I think you'll enjoy watching it seeing creativity at work.
All of these beautiful cards let me close my eyes and escape to happy places. How about you?
Please take a look at the video below showing alternate projects done with other Stampin' Up! All Inclusive Card Kits including Notes of Kindness, Lots of Happy, and Three Cheers to You All Inclusive Kits also.

Thanks for visiting my Stampin' Peace blog. My wish for you today is that things truly are looking up for you, that you are finding peace in the now and hope for the future. Stay safe, stay well, stay positive, and keep being creative.
Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper isn't just for card making and scrapbooking. Put it to use in your home decor projects.
Here is my latest home decor project. I had a bare wall in my new home and just couldn't find something I loved for this space. So after 18 months of looking at this bare wall, I started thinking what can I make to fill that space until I find something that really speaks to me, something more permanent. This is what I came up with. I adhered 6 sheets of Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper to 12" x 12" stretched canvases. I love how they turned out, and I had so much fun making them. I found a new way to use some of my Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper for an easy to make home decor project that costs just a few dollars. Now, I have something pretty to look at instead of a bare wall, and am getting lots of compliments on it too. And best of all, it's such an inexpensive project that I can change it out at any time without feeling guilty. I can change it out to coordinate with the seasons, holidays, or new accent pillows if I choose. And when I find something more permanent for this wall, I will likely find a new place for this wall collection.
I used the same process for this project that I did for my DIY Designer Series Paper Coasters. You can see that video demonstration with this link: https://bit.ly/2SXTkF5
